At Challah for Hunger, our mission is to raise money and awareness for anti-hunger initiatives through the production and sales of Challah. Challah for Hunger at Binghamton was founded in 2009

Challah for Hunger at Binghamton University

Every other week, Challah for Hunger prepares and bakes, and sells the challah on campus, then donates the proceeds to charity! We prepare the dough on Wednesday nights from 5pm to 7pm, bake the dough on Thursday nights from 6pm to 8pm in Appalachian Dining Hall and then sell on Fridays from 1:30 - 3:30 in various spots on campus. Our flavors include regular, chocolate chip, cinnamon sugar, and so much more.

Upcoming Meeting Dates for Fall 24

  • 11/20 - 11/22

  • 12/4 - 12/6

About Challah for Hunger

Challah for Hunger at Binghamton instills the message of advocacy in our community.  As advocates we promote numerous activities that illuminates hunger in Broome county and abroad. Help us continue to bake the world a "breader" place.

Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates our profits to anti-Hunger initiatives.  Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates half of our profits to Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger.  The other half of our profits goes to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier who works tirelessly to feed the people in our community.
